    Welcome

The Northstar Community Services District was founded in 1990 under Government Code 61600 as a local government entity to serve the Northstar region with governmental services. The District currently provides water, sewer collection, solid waste management, recycling services, fire protection, fuels management, snow removal, road surface maintenance, and trail construction and maintenance. These services are supported by property taxes, the Measure E Parcel Tax, and billing for water, sewer and solid waste user fees.

In the fall of 2015, after six years of operating the water system through a contract with Placer County Water Agency, the District acquired full ownership and operations of the Martis Valley Water System that serves Lahontan, Martis Camp, Schaffer's Mill and Hopkins Village. The District looks forward to upholding and continuing the highest level of service as we continue to experience growth in our service area.

The NCSD is governed by a five person, elected Board of Directors composed of registered voters from the communities served by the District. The role of the Board of Directors is to provide responsible leadership by determining policy for the District. The day to day operations are overseen by a board-appointed General Manager.

The NCSD Administrative and Engineering building is located at 900 Northstar Drive and is open Monday - Friday from 8AM - 4PM.

Board Meetings are held at the above location at 9AM on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. The public is welcome to attend and participate.

We invite you to explore our website for detailed information about the services provided by the NCSD. Please contact us should you have the need for further information
