The Northstar Community Services District Utility Operations Team, through a contract with Placer County, conducts routine maintenance and repair of approximately 11 miles of within the Northstar Community. Road maintenance activity varies by season. During the winter months, our team focuses on snow removal. During the summer months these responsibilities shift to include the monitoring roadway conditions, such as cracking, wear, rutting, and poor ride conditions by taking note and scheduling repairs of the flagged areas. These repairs include but are not limited to, crack sealing, pothole patching, and drainage infrastructure maintenance. The NCSD Road Care Program is heavily subsidized by the Northstar Community through an annual special tax assessment, Measure E, these funds are being utilized for Current Road Care Projects.
