Tertiary treatment for the Northstar communities effluence is provided by the Tahoe Truckee Sanitation Agency (TTSA) at their wastewater facilities located in the Martis Valley. Northstar Community Services District operates and maintains the collection system and the transmission of wastewater to TTSA. The NCSD Utility Operations Department is responsible for the operations and maintenance of those systems. The collection and transmission system is comprised of 26 miles of pipeline within the District, two pumping stations and an inverted siphon system that spans from Northstar Golf Course to the Truckee Tahoe Airport Districts access road.
